1月27日，カンボジア?ユネスコのフィリップ?デランゲ文化部門長，アンコール遺跡整備公団のハン?プゥ副総裁らが，学生?研究者等の交流発展のために中村信一学長を表敬訪問しました。本学からは，長野勇理事（研究?国際担当），環日本海域環境研究センターの塚脇真二教授，古内正美教授が同席しました。
本学はカンボジアで，15年以上継続した研究?教育活動が高く評価されており，2010年にはアンコール遺跡整備公団と交流協定を締結しています。会場では互いの研究内容などについて語り合い，記念品の交換など，終始に渡り和気あいあいとした雰囲気の下で歓談が行われました。
On Friday, January 27, Mr. Philippe Delanghe, Officer-in Charge of UNESCO Phnom Penh, Dr. Hang Peou, Deputy Director-General of Authority for the Protection and Management of Angkor and the Region of Siem Reap (APSARA), and Associate Professor Yuji Araki of Saitama University-Department of Education paid a courtesy visit to President Shin-ichi Nakamura. The purpose of the visit was to promote interaction such as student and researcher exchanges. At the meeting, they talked about their impression of each other’s institution, research work, and the souvenir items, and the conversation took place in a friendly atmosphere. From our university, President Nakamura, Vice President for Research and International Affairs Isamu Nagano, Professor Shinji Tsukawaki, and Professor Masami Furuuchi were in attendance.
