On May 27th, a lunch seminar entitled "Machi-nori is coming to Kakuma Mori no Sato!" was held at the Kakuma Campus.
As part of Kanazawa City's "University Student Mobility Management Project," a temporary port for the public shared bicycle service Machi-nori will be set up in the Kakuma/Morinosato area for six months from June to November. As a new initiative, the city is also looking to recruit student supporters to help with the operation of the service.
First, a representative from the Transportation Policy Division of the Kanazawa City Urban Policy Bureau gave an overview of Machi-Nori and the background to the recruitment of supporters. This was followed by stories of students' experiences with Machi-Nori, and a talk by Nihonkai Consultants, the operator of Machi-Nori, about how to use the service and the responsibilities of supporters.
This project plans to continue to implement various initiatives that utilize student ideas.
