On March 18, the "Co-Creation Enterprise and Human Resources Deployment Program" research presentation (graduation ceremony) was held in Kanazawa City.

The "Co-Creation Enterprise and Human Resources Development Program" is a project that supports the development of local industries by matching excellent human resources who are active on the front lines of companies in the Tokyo metropolitan area and other areas with companies aiming for further development in Ishikawa Prefecture, and working to solve local problems.

This program was planned and implemented as a "community-based voluntary project" through collaboration between industry, academia, and government in the region, with the support of Kanazawa City, the Ishikawa Prefecture Industrial Creation Support Organization, the Kanazawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and other organizations to form a consortium jointly formed by ICOCK (Cooperative National Enterprise Promotion Center), Hokkuni Financial Holdings, Ishikawa Prefecture, and Kanazawa University.

This year, eight organizations participated as candidate companies. We received 90 applications as researcher candidates, and 5 people from 5 institutions were matched. Kanazawa University provided these five students with a place for practical recurrent education and a position as a visiting researcher, and worked on solving problems at companies and other organizations for six months from October 2024.

The research presentation session (graduation ceremony) began with an address by President Takashi Wada, followed by a project report from Professor Kiyokazu Sato from the Faculty of Economics and Management, Institute of Human and Social Sciences. The five visiting researchers who completed their projects then gave presentations on examples of problem-solving at their host companies and other organizations.

After each presentation, there was commentary from the host companies and other parties, and then a certificate of completion was presented to the representative of the visiting researchers by Director of Frontier Science and Social Co-creation Initiative Shinichi Nakamura. The visiting researchers reflected on their days of balancing their research with problem-solving practice. Finally, Trustee Kaname Miura gave the closing remarks.

Even after graduating from this program, some visiting researchers continue their relationships with their host companies. We have also achieved great results in terms of securing and retaining core human resources from the Tokyo metropolitan area and elsewhere.
