On April 16, approximately 90 third-grade students from the affiliated elementary school, 30 personnel from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Kanazawa Garrison, and several members of the Heiwa-machi Odori Shopping Street Promotion Association participated in tulip picking. These tulips were planted last November along the road near the Kanazawa Garrison as part of a community beautification initiative. The project was a collaborative effort between Kanazawa University Affiliated Schools, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Kanazawa Garrison, and the Heiwa-machi Odori Shopping Street Promotion Association.
During the bouquet presentation following the tulip picking, the children expressed their gratitude by presenting bouquets to the Self-Defense Force personnel and local community members. In return, the officers also gifted bouquets to the children, creating a warm and heartfelt atmosphere throughout the event.
